New Gmail compose , Old Gmail compose and Reply experience 2013

On 19 Jul 2013, Google shared full-screen details of its new compose window
in Gmail , giving email users more space to draft a message than what the previous stuck-to-the-bottom-right-corner option provided. Here is view

When you study the option, click on ‘learn more’ to know how the new compose works

Details will introduce you to the new Gmail compose and reply experience

You can now write messages in a cleaner, simpler experience that puts the focus on your message itself, not all the features around it. Here are some of the highlights:
  1. Fast: Compose messages right from your inbox.
  2. Simple: Redesigned with a clean, streamlined look.
  3. Powerful: Check emails as you're typing, minimize drafts for later, and even compose two messages at once.

Details of Compose Window

Instead of taking up your entire Gmail window, clicking Compose now opens a smaller window at the bottom of your screen. Here are some of the features that you'll see:

Recipients: Click this text field to type email addresses. You can also click the Cc or Bcc links to add a new set of recipients. Drag and drop recipients from one field to another, or click the "x" to remove them from your message. Hover over the recipient to see details about them, or double-click on them to edit their address.

Text formatting: Click this icon Formatting options icon to add formatting like font size, bold, underline, and bullets. Or, use our new formatting keyboard shortcuts.

Attachments: Click the Attachment icon Paperclip attachment icon to attach files to your message. Hovering over the Attachment icon will also open the insert options menu.

Insert options: Hover over the plus icon insert menu plus icon to embed photos, links, emoticons, and Google Calendar events. This menu will also open when hovering over the Attachment icon.

Discard: Click the trash can icon Discard draft icon to delete your draft.

Window size: The writing pane grows as your message gets longer. .If you want the window to be bigger, click the middle icon at the top right of the pane to open the message in a new window.

New Compose Window

When this option is enabled (which can be done from the pop-up menu by clicking on the bottom-right arrow) as shown in the snapshot below, the compose window becomes centered in the inbox and expands to fit the screen by fading out the page behind it.

Users can also permanently set the compose window to full screen by selecting "Default to full-screen" in the More Options menu on the bottom-right. In addition, with this full-screen option, formatting in the toolbar is on by default.
After the company rolled out the ‘new compose’ back in March, it has received feedback from people stating things they’d like and things they hate about the new update.

Twitter update regarding the same;

"After Gmail's new compose rolled out to everyone in March, many of you sent us requests for features you'd like to see added. We listened carefully to your feedback and as a result, the new compose now offers a full-screen option."

Public response Though opinions vary, there is enough proof to state positive feedback. A brand new feature is waiting for Gmail users, a full screen compose option. However, the new option has been described as rather unimpressive by many. Below are some images narrating the same story;

  4. Once that has been finished you then bang on Messenger afresh and seek for the individual you desire to drive the note to. You then bang on More in the smaller right hand corner of the meeting and select Send Text Message. Enter the telephone number and then bang on Save.click here
